While the winters in Wisconsin can be cold and snowy, Wisconsin summers are hot and happening. Here are a few things to explore in the warmer months!<\/p>\n

Check out the Waterpark Capital of the World: Wisconsin Dells! <\/strong>If you didn’t know, our very own Wisconsin Dells is home to the largest concentration of outdoor and indoor waterparks in the world. There are tons of different waterparks for you to enjoy, including Noah’s Ark<\/a> and Mt. Olympus<\/a>. Each of them is equally as fun. You could even plan your entire summer around visiting all of the parks!<\/p>\n

Visit our animal friends at the Henry Vilas Zoo.<\/strong> As one of the only remaining free zoos in the country, Henry Vilas Zoo<\/a> should be a must-do on your summer bucket list. Not only do over 650 animals from all over the world call the zoo “home,” but they have a mission to provide exceptional animal care and conserve wildlife through local engagement and global partnerships. It’s also a great spot for a picnic! They are a great community organization to support with fun events throughout the season.<\/p>\n

Root on the local teams. <\/strong>Whether you like soccer, baseball, ultimate frisbee or any other sport, Wisconsin has you covered. The Milwaukee Brewers<\/a> have a jam-packed summer season, along with the Madison Mallards<\/a>, Madison Radicals<\/a>, and Forward Madison FC<\/a>! And the best part is, those are only a few of the incredible local teams Wisconsin has to offer.<\/p>\n

Get your garden on. <\/strong>Wisconsin has some incredible horticulture for us to enjoy. On a perfect summer day, head to Olbrich Botanical Garden<\/a>, Allen Centennial Gardens<\/a>, or hit up the Dane County Farmers’ Market<\/a> to experience them at their peak. Whether you are enjoying the incredible views or using fresh produce in your home, there’s a world of opportunity here in Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

Music magic. <\/strong>One of our favorite activities to enjoy are summer concerts that are held around the Madison area. During the summer months, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra holds a free concert on Wednesday nights called “Concerts on the Square<\/a>" and the Monona Terrace holds free concerts on Thursday evenings called “Concerts on the Rooftop<\/a>” through June and July. Both of these events are Madison staples and full of memory-making music!<\/p>\n

See the city by bike.<\/strong> The summer months are a great time to be a tourist in your own city, and see it in a way you never have before. What better way to do that than on a through bike? Madison BCycle<\/a><\/a> offers rentable electric bikes with many stations around the city, so getting on and off the bike is easy and fun. Just make sure you have a helmet handy!<\/p>\n
