The next employee we want to highlight is Lauri Stamps who is a Property Manager here at WMC.
Property Managers are the backbones of each and every one of our communities. They support daily property operations, manage resident relations, and ensure a safe and thriving environment for our residents to enjoy.
Lauri is in an exciting role as the property manager for two properties and is currently getting ready for the lease-up of a new community called The Madisonian.
Here's a bit more about Lauri.
What is your favorite thing about WMC?
Meeting residents! And, now that I'm at Parkcrest Apartments: working with Lorin.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I'm a pastor, practicing, preaching, and teaching, and I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and grandkids, watching Marvel movies, and teaching financial education!
What has kept you at WMC?
There are so many reasons why WMC is a great place to work. Firstly, my great supervisors, Tim, Andi, and Alicia, who always support me. Next, every day is different, making work exciting. Finally, the flexibility and independence that WMC provides makes for a great workplace.
What has been your biggest accomplishment since starting at WMC?
My biggest accomplishment thus far since starting at WMC has been the work we've done at Harmony at Grandview Commons. When we first acquired that community, there were terrible shootings, bad reviews, and many challenges. After my time at Harmony, the community turned around and became a wonderful place to call home.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my son, Gregory and daughter, Desere. Gregory is a composer, singer and producer. Desere is an artist and wrote a children’s book to put all her in art in one place and showcase that anyone who looks like her can do great things if they put their mind to it. To see some of Desere’s drawings and check out more about her book you can visit: http://www.designbymayo.com.
Thank you for everything you do, Lauri!
