Leadership Development at WMC – Investing in Our People

At WMC, we regard our employees as our most valuable asset. Because of this, we invest in opportunities for them to succeed and progress in their career at WMC.  

Our in-house Leadership Development course is designed to support current and emerging WMC/FGS leaders in developing effective communication and fundamental leadership skills, promoting a culture of accountability, building high-performance teams, and improving trust/influence.  

It works by leveraging the DISC assessment to highlight the importance of knowing their own behavioral and communication preferences and tendencies, and that of others. In harnessing that knowledge, they can adapt their behaviors to be more effective leaders. Each program runs for 12 weeks, with weekly sessions ending with final presentations where each member presents to the group on a leadership topic of their choice. 

In order to participate in the course, candidates apply through a formal application process, which includes a supervisor recommendation and prerequisites.
