Madison is home to some incredible lakes, trails, and parks – perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the great outdoors in the spring! Home to many historical sites and museums, there’s so much to learn about Madison. Luckily for us, the city encourages us to take it all in. If you’re interested in historical facts and figures, head to the stunning Capitol Building. Madison has several different museums that cover all facets of history – and even better, they’re almost all free or low cost for visitors! Madison Historical Museum and Madison Veterans Museum are both located on the square, and offer great insight exhibits about the history of Madison. Chazen Art Museum and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art offer an array of exhibitions across mediums. Looking for something a bit more quirky and different? Head to the Middleton National Mustard Museum or the Madison Children's Museum with tons of family-friendly exhibits and even live chickens. One thing’s for sure, you’ll leave with a bit more knowledge than you came in with.
