Employee Spotlight: Jacob

The next employee we want to highlight is Jacob Conter who is our Maintenance Lead at The Fairways in Fitchburg. He is celebrating 6 years here at WMC!

A strong maintenance team is the backbone of any apartment community. Whenever a repair is requested, the maintenance team is there to help, but they also work on proactive upgrades to minimize both future inconvenience caused to tenants and/or cost to investors. We wouldn't be able to provide the standard of service we do without them.

As the maintenance lead, Jacob is in charge of a team of maintenance employees who are responsible for 369 units at the Fairways Apartments.

What is your favorite thing about WMC?

I am able to help provide housing for people in need.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

Spending time outdoors gardening, fishing, and hunting.

What has kept you at WMC?

I take it all one day at a time. Stability would be my second reason.

What has been your biggest accomplishment since starting at WMC?

Uplifting the property I work at. I have been working with staff and residents to provide a better place to live. I can't say there is one thing that is my biggest accomplishment. It is a combination of all the work that I have been putting in to make everything run as smoothly as possible. Daily operations just run better when I'm around.
